Action Plans for Hassocks
Hassocks Parish Council has approved two action plans over the last few years. In
December 2002 the Hassocks Village Action Plan was published following consultation with the whole village. It listed 26 action points, many of which - but not all - have since been completed. Then in January 2005 the ParishCouncil approved a joint Economic Action Plan with Hurstpierpoint. This had 5 major actions, focussing on Childcare, Business Support, Learning Opportunities, Improvements to Hassocks Station and a Tourism and Visitor Programme. Responsibility for promoting these actions lies with the Hassocks Community Partnership in cooperation with the Parish Council and many other groups. Work has started on developing the Tourism and Visitor Programme.
