The new autumn cherries looked very attractive as they produced their first flowers. This and the under planting of pansies continues to make this an attractive addition to the village centre.
Unfortunately this year we will not be holding a Hassocks in Bloom competition. It was felt that a year of rest and consolidation was needed. There are many fine gardens around Hassocks but it has become increasingly difficult to encourage people to enter so we are hoping that next year there will be an upsurge in interest so that we can continue to make HASSOCKS BLOOM.
